1) PREMISE:   
Before the industrial revolution, survival was a key component of most people's lives. We have now shifted to fulfillment as our wealth and leisure time has grown. Monogamy, critical to survival, is now an artificial box that can prevent people from thriving

2) FROM 1 IT FOLLOWS THAT:   
Monogomy is a forced institution that has or had value, but in the era of birth control, longer life spans, wealth, freedom, choice and the luxury of personal growth, this value can be outweighed in some circumstances
